No, you do not get a card, but you can withdraw cash or get a cheque in branch, which the previous post suggested might be acceptable.BankingCarolus said:
Was there something you had seen that indicated this one has a card? Their support seemed to think that it doesn't, unfortunately.GeoffTF said:If you are able to go to a Skipton BS branch, there is this one:

Wouldn't one of the high interest current accounts do the job? Probably much higher interest paid than any of the savings accounts mentioned.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

No, I'm afraid I'm specifically looking for savings accounts with a cash card/atm card/debit card, for reasons discussed upthread.jimjames said:Wouldn't one of the high interest current accounts do the job? Probably much higher interest paid than any of the savings accounts mentioned.0 -
They all offer 'Cashpoint cards' but it's optional i.e. you need to request it via a branch or over the phone.Cashmygiro said:
Are you certain these do? as the websites makes no mention of an ATM card.BankingCarolus said:So far I've identified:Bank of Scotland, Access SaverBarclays, Everyday SaverHalifax, Everyday SaverIs anyone aware of any others?
Just also be aware that Nationwide's newer saving ATM cards and Barclays savings ATM cards only work at their ATMs. Nationwide's legacy savings accounts like Cashbuilder still allow Link withdrawals)2 -
Skipton Building Society has never issued ATM cards.BankingCarolus said:

Checking Link is usually an good pointer.1 -
I used to have the odd savings account cash withdrawal card, I think when they used to be issued automatically rather than requesting one. I don't remember ever using one but I always thought they had to be used at the issuing bank's own ATM, not ATM's in general (like most/all debit cards issued for current accounts). They don't have a chip.[Deleted User] said:

On the issue of moving money from a savings account to current account in order to withdraw, this is often the only way allowed in the T and C's for savings accounts.0

Depends. I think I remember the YBS one could be used in any LINK ATM.Hattie627 said:

And I thought it was just me. I thought they were just for old legacy accounts. I've got a Santander Cash Card which I think was originally an Abbey National card and converted once they were taken over? Had it ages obviously, not sure why I still do have it with a few hundred pin money in it and use it once in a blue moon to keep it active, it seems a bit pointless though, nostalgia I suppose. Maybe I'll get rid as it's just another card taking up space.0

Lloyds and Smile (!) both have accounts offering them. Which I think puts the list at nine (Barclays, BoS, Halifax, Lloyds, Nationwide, Post Office, Santander, Smile TSB), unless there are some obscure building societies, or smaller brands still offering them.
