Also, think about things like getting off the toilet, if you need to hold on to anything, that's an aid etc. And whether you're too exhausted to take off your clothes when you go to bed, if you need help with that...

Those are so insignificant, I mean we never think of them, part of our daily routine to actually put this on a form … I would not think to do this …

This is why it is so often recommended to ask for outside help from an organisation that has a background or experience with filling out these forms. I know I was surprised at just how much I had incorperated into my everyday life over the years and didn't think was any different to 'normal' until I had someone tell me that I should be putting the tricks and cheats I use to get through my day down on my application. You just don't notice them build up a lot of the time.

Jyana - yes I was the same - it was only when I asked for help from Citizens Advice with the Mandatory Reconsideration that I realised how much I had adapted things to manage everyday life.
Anyways, the appeal tribunal is on Thursday. I now have a letter from the doctor plus various letters from other consultants that I'm hoping will help me. I have to remember to not say 'oh I just manage' when they ask me questions.

Just an update - I had my appeal tribunal on Thursday - it lasted an hour and a half, which I wasn't expecting. The first half was ok, the doctor asked me a lot of questions and went through all my symptoms, which I felt I described quite well. There was a lady to do with disabilities and when she started questioning me it was all about how many hours I had been working on such and such a date and I started getting very mixed up. When I tried to explain that for months I'd been getting paid for the hours I should have worked when I'd actually worked less, it just got confusing and I felt like she didn't believe me.
I don't think I'll get an award, just my gut feeling. The judge's last comment to me was that he was very surprised that I'd managed to put paperclips in my paperwork when I'd said my hands are painful! I replied that it had taken me 3 hours to sort it all out.
They said I'll get a letter in about a week. Just thought this might be some help to someone - don't use paperclips!

There's many people that think their Tribunal didn't go as well as they had hoped for but go onto be awarded successfully.

If you were able to track your appeal online you can log in to see if there's any updates. Very often they will put the decision on there so it will save the anxious wait for the decision letter. They still send the letter regardless but better than waiting.

.. a little concerned at some of how you felt the tribunal went... Judge's remark does seem a little cheeky and unprofessional frankly... they could have instead said..'I notice your prepared paperwork used a lot of paperclips.. did you apply those paperclips... describe what happened when you did?' and gotten evidence of potential value.

However... how many times do we hear people report assessments and sometimes appeals go well only to end up disappointed or shocked while others reporting it being horrific and getting a good outcome. So I'd re-assert what poppy says and then come back with news you get.

Thank you both of you. I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep checking to see if there are any updates online

So I've checked online and my appeal has been refused - I got zero points for daily living and 4 for mobility.
The job centre adviser is ringing me once a week as they say I'm not working enough hours. I tried to work an extra shift this morning, which meant I had to be there by 8.20am and have ended up totally exhausted and in bed all afternoon - so I'll be continuing to do just afternoons.
Not sure what I'm supposed to do now as I can't physically work any more hours - at the minute I'm working 14 hours a week but I'm actually getting paid for 17.5. 17.5 is the amount I'm employed to do but haven't managed to do for about 2 years now. I have worked in the same job for almost 20 years and my boss has kindly paid me for the hours I'm supposed to do.
Does anyone know whether I will be able to apply for limited capability for work? I already get Universal Credit. I applied for it about a year and a half ago and was turned down and so went on the PIP route.
    Any advice appreciated - again!

Sorry to hear about your result.
As  you aren't on PIP you can't request a WCA to be assessed for LCW or LCWRA because of your earnings. Would need to be under 16hpw at NMW.
Could you cut your paid hours to be less than 16 at NMW? Also could you get a Fit note from Doctors? limiting work to  under 16 hours?
