I work for the NHS and got the back pay last month making our UC payment £0.

My wife doesn't work at the moment she's taking care of our special needs daughter so isn't looking for work at the moment

Our to do list has been empty since we first put the claim in 6 months ago so, I do check UC page every now and again.

However on the 23 July there was a message down as urgent on the site for my wife to update her commitments and we had till the 28 July to confirm this or the claim would be closed. I logged in tonight 10 August to see if they had updated the payment assessment for this month and noticed the *urgent message* left. So we are well past this point. Our account is still showing as active and clicking in the to do list and commitments page show nothing to do.

Those claiming UC should we get email or text alerts if there is any changes needing to be made on the account or is it pot luck that you just need to check the site daily for any changes?

Neither me or my wife have had any emails or texts so was unaware that anything needed to be changed.

We are going to have to give them a call I think

    Check your spam?

I get e-mails from them, occasionally texts but the e-mails are what tell me to check messages on my account.

I've never had an email for any of these or anything else, only texts.

When UC account was submitted online, the person submitting the claim would have noted how they wanted to be contacted.  If text only, that was the option chosen.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

I get a code sent by text when loging in to my UC account/journal.
I get text alerts of new entries on the journal, and reminders for appointments by text.
I get emails of To-Do's, such as confirming a new CC. I also get an email when a new appointment is made.
(Usually the WC sends those at the end of an appointment).
You might want to double check that they have your correct email and phone number, typing mistakes do happen.
