First Direct switching bonus from Chase account

Have set up a FD account and received an email from them to advise there is a switching bonus if complete within 90 days.
The only other bank account is Chase. Wanted to retain this account so set up an additional account which has a different sort code/account number.
I haven’t tried it yet, but FD says it will need account details, debit card number, etc. Has anyone switched from Chase as additional accounts don’t have a separate card? Will there be an option for “don’t have a debit card” when I’m ready to do the switch? Or will I have to sacrifice the Chase account? I understand they don’t allow you to rejoin if you close the account (which is why I was hoping to use a dummy account)
I’ll obviously try this anyway but just wondered if anyone knew for sure as I didn’t want to mess up the switch. Thank you

I did one on Weds last week from a Chase 2nd account during a switch application process (although admittedly not to FD but another mainstream bank). Just answered "never had a debit card" on the form (as debit card is associated with primary Chase account and I want that to continue) and it all seems to progressing fine with both Chase and receiving provider having acknowledged the switch and a switch date of 11th indicated. I would assume FD would have same option to indicate that you don't/never had a debit card and as both Chase and FD use CASS switching service it shouldn't cause any issues or delays.1

Great. I’ll give it a go once I receive the FD online banking password.0

I below you can only CASS the main current account from Chase0

From what I have seen from other people's experiences on Reddit - switching from a Chase "second account" will lead to them closing your main account. Once you leave Chase, they currently won't let you rejoin.
I personally wouldn't risk it. Open a new bank account with a bank that doesn't offer switch bonuses such as Metro. You don't need any active DD for FD offer.0 -
You can safely switch from chase and use the debit card number, it works fine. I have now completed 3 switches from Chase with 2 more in progress. As long as you keep one account open your fine. I gave all the new accounts the same debit card number, and it all worked fine1

I’ve instigated a switch with a current account and pressed the “no debit card “ button. (As I don’t have a debit card for this account). Will update as it progresses.0

Why is everyone worried about the debit card, ive completed 5 switches from Chase now providing the debit card each time and there are no issues0

Just to follow up on this, I’ve tried 3 times and it has failed each time on Chase’s end.
1. Secondary account details with no debit card number
2. Secondary account details with debit card number from primary account
3. Primary account details with debit card number from primary account
Each time I get a “thank you to switching to First Direct” set of paperwork and then a text from Chase a few days later “Hi, Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to complete your switch to HSBC Bank Plc. You didn’t give the right bank account details, so please check and try again.”
I’m giving up and will try another burner account. Anyone have any suggestions for a hopefully online account that doesn’t do a hard search? I’m helping my son; he’s new to banking and will be moving out shortly, he won’t have any established credit history and we’ll need to apply for utilities, so I don’t want to risk too many searches for him.
Thank you0
