Switching from Chase using CASS

Has anyone switched from Chase successfully to another provider?

I’ve seen a couple of other posters mention trying it but there seemed to be issues.

I started the process of switching from Chase to Halifax 3 days ago and all seems to be going well. Halifax texted me today to say all would be completed by 3rd August. Chase sent me a sweet little email seemingly on behalf of a bride left jilted at the altar.

We're progressing with your account switch to HALIFAX (A TRADING NAME OF BANK OF SCOTLAND PLC). As this is your last current account that's open with us, your relationship with us will end when this switch is complete. Unfortunately, at the moment, we won't be able to welcome you back.

    I am inconsolable.

No issues at all for myself and my partner.  In fact, unlike myself whom had opened my Chase account a while ago, my partner only opened Chase to use as a burner account and then immediately switched (even before the debit card arrived!) and the switch to Natwest went smoothly and we both got our £200  :)

On a related point is it possible to switch a second Chase Account (and hence keep the main account) as it seems any extra current accounts created in the App use the same debit card and so presumably if you use those card details on the switch you lose the card so cease to be able to use it for the main account?  Would it work if you just ticked the No to the "do you have a debit card on this account" type question when filling in the switch details?  Or are these second and subsequent accounts in reality just virtual accounts and not really true separate accounts in their own right?

    Anybody tried this?

Not tried that Sherman but interesting idea for others.

my switch to TSB started but failed as I had linked accounts, now due to go 1/8 I do not the app for chase won’t let me see my account anymore which is strange.
shame to cancel chase as 1% is a good perk but short term can earn more via this switch deal and have reward credit cards so decide to sacrifice it as apart from 1% there was no other benefits and reward CC reduce the downside.

I have seen plenty of posts, across forums, from people stating that they were going to try this, but am yet to see one that confirms anyone was able to switch a Chase additional current account successfully.

Until a few post to say that that is achievable, then any CASS away from Chase will be at one's own risk. In as much as if you didn't want to end your banking relationship with Chase completey, that is

Monzo and starling are apparently also difficult to open again, but amongst the fintech bank, I believe Chase UK offers some unique benefits, particularly the 1% cashback (including forex spend) and free ATM in USA and just for this I would always retain it as an account and would not be switching knowing that they will not be able to open  an account with them again.

Ive switched two secondary Chase accounts successfully using CASS, and a third one is scheduled to switch next week - No issues at all, all worked perfectly and the main Chase account is unaffected.

did you put the debit card number in when initiating the switch, was the debit card associated with the account you switched or not and did the debit card stop working afterwards?  thanks

I did one on Weds last week from a Chase 2nd account during a switch application process. Just answered "never had a debit card" on the form (as debit card is associated with primary Chase account and I want that to continue) and it all seems to progressing fine with both Chase and receiving provider having acknowledged the switch and a switch date of 11th indicated.
