v1.2.3 is the new firmware on offer. The version in service is v1.1.6

OK, ta!  Mine have been on that 1.2.3 version for a couple of weeks at least.

Article on MSN news today, there is a major security issue with Tapo products, which need firmware update.

From what I can see the security vulnerability relates specifically to one type of bulb, and if this is exploited by someone in range of your WiFi they can then exploit another vulnerability in the app to get your WiFi password.

Needs sorting and highlights the importance of keeping up to date with firmware updates but not something to lose sleep over.

Mine are saying 2.17.201 and are up to date.

With our nearest neighbour over 1/4 mile away I'm not too concerned about wireless security. But where there's one vulnerability they may be other's.
