Lebara SIM deal requires turning off adblocker

I purchased the recent SIM deal with Lebara - which included a £40 voucher. However, in an email received after the purchase regarding the voucher, in the T&C, it says the voucher will be sent up to 180 days after purchse, and "If you use adblocking software, a VPN, or have cookies disabled on your device, the sale may not track correctly and you will not qualify for the Gift Card."

I do use an adblocker and rang Lebara to check it out  and they confirmed that the contract re the voucher stipulates you must turn off any adblockers for up to180 days. So, I cancelled the contract because I don't want to go 180 days without an adblocker,  and without the voucher, there are better deals available.

Just thought others may want to be aware of this.

Yes to having a new instance of a browser, free from VPNs, ad blockers, anti-spam add-ons, browser guard widgets or anything else since these can interfere with the tracking cookies required for many cashback-enabled sites to "track correctly".

Having to maintain this "pure" browser for longer than the signup/purchase process takes to complete is bollix.

Go and read the offer T&Cs again, you and Lebara's helpdesk are conflating two different conditions.

The ad-blocker / cookie blocking etc will need yo be disabled during the sign up process so that nothing is stopping the background data being passed between systems. Once that is done you can return to normal, no need for it to be for 180 days.
