Scottish Adult Disability Payments Review

Hi all

My PIP award was transferred to the Scottish ADP and now it's review time. The review form I have strongly suggests that I just have to inform them of any changes and send any new evidence with my review. Can this be right? I've never had a review for PIP because 3 years ago was my first claim so I have nothing to compare with. I've looked at the Scot Gov pages and that also suggests only changes have to be reported. I'm just very, very concerned that if I put down nothing has changed then my whole award will stop and I'll have to start again. Is the Scottish ADP really making it that simple to review awards. The only other thing I can think to do is just put everything I put on the form before but even then it went to MR and I had help then. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

They will be looking at the last award even though it was PIP and any changes since then. Personally I was always a little bit uneasy of just putting down "no change" and moving on. I liked to explain I still have the same issues, just for my own peace of mind.

I wouldn't advise you to just put "no change" I've never heard of anyone having a review for ADP yet but if it's anything like PIP then you should treat it as a new claim.

We're in uncharted territory here, ADP is still relatively new so very few people have gone through the process.  ADP is supposed to be much more accessible and claimant-friendly than PIP, including not needing assessments unless they really can't decide based on the forms and included evidence.  So it's possible it really is that simple for ADP, but with PIP it certainly isn't so it would be a risk to test it out.  It's entirely up to you whether you take the form at face value or whether you treat it as a full claim.

Like you never heard of a review for ADP  but if it's like the my last PIP form they are asking if anything has changed.

I only put  no change on anything I don't score points on,  with the ones I do score points on I went into detail even though some are no change.

  • It's a minefield isn't it? I think I'm going to do as above, put no change in the sections I didn't score points and fill in the sections I did. Thankfully I can complete it online so that's something. I will keep screenshots though. I feel like it's a trap. Anyway, thanks for your help, much appreciated.

For the parts that don't apply i usually put "doesn't apply" For the rest i give full details and i do the same for my daughters reviews too.

Do you mean you repeat what you wrote last time?

If nothing has change then yes I mostly repeat the text, I normally start it with "I still"
