Any local companies that will build exactly the size and shape you want?
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

If it were me, I'd move the slabs and put the shed in front of the unsightly garage. Grow something pretty in the corner where the slabs are now. You'd be able to pick the berries and keep the brambles trimmed.

How about an 8x3 with a double door on the long front? Nice long back to hang tools, mower sits at one end, put a shelf over it for storing little stuff. With a square shed you need to leave room through the middle to get the stuff at the back, a waste of space. Long thin shed and everything is within easy reach, more usable capacity.
Thanks. Didn’t consider that. I suppose because there’s a bed in front of the garage and the current corner position is possibly the best use of space. The bed is lower than the slabs with kerb stone cemented in along the front edge. Not very tidy.
A bit of work needed to prep that area for a shed but could be done.

Might be. The neighbour’s shed in one of the pics was put in by a company a couple of year’s ago. Could ask them.

  • +1 to local company - the quality always seemed to be better than the ones purchased from shops plus they would take care of fitting.

There looks to be a good custom shed company in my local city. Probably not cheap but hopefully they can prepare the area too.
I could probably DIY a 7×5ft one on the corner base which was the original idea.
With plenty of other jobs I need to do, the money option wins I think.

Also nothing wrong with a plastic shed
    Quite like the idea.
Just thinking about ease of hanging tools, adding a peg rail etc. Also ventilation, being plastic.

I've always had good wooden sheds but opted for a similarly priced branded plastic shed this time and it is garbage in comparison.

I wont make the same mistake again
What was the problem with the plastic shed?

Mine is 8x6, and feels stuffed to the gills with a mower and a bistro set.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

We bought an 8’x6’ ex display from a local company. Big enough for a cupboard, floor standing shelving unit for all the pots, pot feet, saucers, stakes etc etc, mower, couple of hedge trimmers, rakes and and and and… Managed to fit bistro set & assorted chairs in over winter.
I chose one with a window so that I could do my seed planting & potting in there until I finally get a greenhouse. 2 years on & I can’t even get in without moving stuff around, let alone plant anything. OH is an advocate of ‘I’ll keep that in case it comes in handy’😕

Had a look in B&Q today. Good selection and it helps to see them set up.
All 6 x 4 size. The Clapperton one stood out with the three doors and shelving.

A bit expensive for what it is but bought a Keter Store It Out Max as a quick storage solution.
It’ll be used anyway when I get a larger shed.
Was also impressed with their Darwin 6 x 4 brown plastic shed. The finish felt slightly rough like treated shiplap.
