We were told by Martin Lewis the Gas Price would be around 7.51p per kWh but my provider says that is a wholesale price. Is this correct.

Context and details needed.
About 7.51p would be right for a domestic standard variable tariff from the non-exempt suppliers.
For any other context, the 7.51p can be ignored.0 -
My EDF West Midlands 7.431p per kWhNever pay on an estimated bill0
-
Octopus Flexible here is 7.03p/kWh, plus 5% VAT.

Thank you for the reply. I live in an independent retirement home. The gas is supplied to all the apartments and we get individual bills from the Management Services for what we have used. They charge a lot more than Martin Lewis says, but they have said Martins is wholesale price. I cannot get my Gas from anywhere else. I pay my own electricity.0
