Hi
Bit of a strange question but I was thinking of using a STAC to cancel a Lebara contract using my old Three PAYG sim. Is there anything to stop me doing this?
Cheers

Although you can switch off autorenew and autotopup and just leave your lebara sim dormant it is not a bad idea at all to pac or stac and fully close it. Never used a stac myself and not sure how to, it is hardly "bring your number" but you would need to give three the stac and your lebara phone number, and presumably your 'new' three number. What could possibly go wrong? Don't do it if you are attached to your current three number.1

I've always used the text PAC option when changing provider as it seems to work well. I would be interested to know if anyone has used the STAC option?0

As far as I know, you give the STAC to your new provider when you join and that cancels the old contract.1

However according to this vodafone has an option 'joining us from another network'
'When do I give my PAC or STAC to Vodafone? You can give us your PAC or STAC when you’re buying a new phone or SIM only plan with us. Before you check out, you should notice the option which says ‘joining us from another network’ in your basket.
Alternatively, if you’ve already bought your phone and/or plan from us, you can use our Keep my number hub'
Interestingly the link then has options for pac or stac, but they seem to think you will have a vodafone pac (Voe or vcn)?
Don't have a code? Just text "PAC" to 65075 or "STAC" to 75075, or contact your current network provider.
