Virgin Package Huge Rise.

My Virgin broadband & phone package has just gone up from £55 a month to £85 a month.
Yet a quick check on here shows them offering new customers the same package for £26 a month.
I thought this sharp practice had been outlawed ?
Anyway - I wont be stopping with them.
Any recommendations from experience ?  I don't need anything fancy -  just basic internet & phone.   Thanks.

Sounds like you're at the end of a retention deal, because £55 plus the April auto rise is not £85 so you're probably out of contract.

If you want a better deal phone them up and get a  new deal, otherwise find somebody else, have a BT line installed/activated and get it that way.
