WTC letter asked me to call them

I filled in my self assessment online in May 2023.
I applied for WTC in early June and clicked next without being given the chance to include my SIPP payments so I re filled the forms a couple of minutes later including the payments I had made to my SIPP in the previous tax year.
A couple of weeks later (in June) I received my final tax credit decision which took into account my SIPP payments for the previous tax year.
Last Saturday I received a letter letting me know that "our records show that you have completed more than one annual declaration form".
I have been asked to telephone them before the declaration can be processed.
I got through, listened to the long messages and then was told to wait and then the message said "goodbye" and I was cut off.
I tried again two more times but the same thing happened. The line is open from 8am to 6pm, I called at 5:15pm the first time.
From your experience, will I ever get through to speak to a human? Or will I get caught in the same loop and then get cut off again?

Best to call just before they open, when staff are waiting for their 1st call.Life in the slow lane1
