Now TV with EE broadband?

I'm with Sky at the moment. Broadband is a bit useless and looking for a change. I'm looking at EE full fibre broadband (with EE for mobiles, and I think I can get an additional discount).
EE does not include a landline. Fine, we don't use it (apart from answering nuisance calls), it can definitely go for phone calls, but I am not sure if NOW TV (we "need" Sky Sports) needs an Openreach phone line. Their website implies we do but I think that might be just if we have their broadband. An we do have a line, it just won't be live.
Anyone have experience of similar? Thanks.

I watch Now TV through an Airband FTTP connection which is totally separate from Openreach's network. I do not have a landline.
So the answer is No you don't need a telephone line through Open reach or any other provider.1 -
