Global Strategy Balanced Portfolio (ISIN: GB00B76WP695 )

Hi,

The fee (0.18%) looks suspiciously low for this actively managed fund. Anyone know why please?

Just moved it all from HL over to HFX, and wanting to buy the above fund.

TIA.

The HSBC GS range is like the VLS range.   i.e. management decisions made on the weightings but uses underlying passive funds to meet the weightings.      HSBC is fractionally more managed than VLS in that it revises its weightings more frequently than Vanguard and doesn't have a hard and fast equity ratio (which is a managed decision by Vanguard)

There is no catchall names to cover this type of investment method but some refer to them as active passives.  Generically, they are fund of funds but that would unfairly bundle them with the fund of funds that use active funds as well.

Nothing suspicious about it as the underlying funds are circa 0.06-0.10%

I like such "funds of passive funds" for people with a long term horizon. Disclosure here I use a couple of similar funds in my portfolio. They give you a simple and inexpensive way to own a diversified portfolio.
And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
