Could anyone post a photo of the equipment installed at the gas and elec meters pls? I'm considering a smart meter install from Octopus and the space by the meters/existing boxes is tight.

There is no standard installation. For example, L&G electricity meters come in two sizes. Octopus uses various models of smart meters.0

There are no extra boxes or anything like that - the extra comms bit sits on top of the electricity meter and looks like it's part of the same box - so not usually much space needed "by the meters". The meters themselves are usually similarly sized to the old ones, so the question is more "does the fitter think they can make the connections".0

But, as others have said, there are several models of meter in use and their sizes do vary slightly.
