Thanks all. Spoke with roofer yesterday, seems to be okay now. 

Don’t think I will go back to them when it comes time to get new quote for reroof, too many red flags.

By the time you are ready for a full new roof - ~5 years hence - you should know if that lot have established a good reputation in the 'hood, or not. If they have, then there's no reason to discount them. But just ask and expect the same detail - clear outline of the work to be done, materials to be used, and the (insurance-backed) warranty offered.
