One Parking Solution's new IPC sign at the Roe Green Centre, Hatfield, from this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6611725/one-parking-solution-disabled-bay-without-a-blue-badge-genuine-oversight-but-worth-an-appeal£100 is in 'big' with an asterisk. BUT:
The rest is too small to be readable (when you zoom in, they do mention adding £70 as a 'collection fee' (yeah, right, that's doomed OPS!) but given that the sign is in the middle of a bush and eight feet high, how could anyone possibly read the small print?
Entrance sign doesn't face arriving drivers:Oh yes, and spot the 360 degree infra-red 24/7 camera filming the entire street (it's hidden far back on the wall of the Co-op almost immediately up from the pedestrian's head in this StreetView). Covert surveillance is illegal.
Nothing to tell drivers at the entrance that they are being filmed and no lighting at any of the the signs either. No disabled bay sign so how would a reversing driver know it is one?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

UKPC Snow Hill Wakefield
A sign as white as snow!
Can't read a flipping thing without zooming in.
Taken from this current thread with an ambiguously marked bay, to boot:

Armtrac still using an old sign (odd pink paint, all in childish capitals!) naming the IPC as the Independent Parking Committee. Nothing specified about adding £70 so it's not part of this debatable 'contract'.
Taken from this current thread about a residential car park where "many residents are elderly and are simply bullied into paying":

Euro Car Parks sign from this 2025 thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81495773/#Comment_81495773Massive font at eye level for paying by phone.
On the yellow (much higher of course) sign you can read the tariffs but nothing else is in bold.
Literally zero info about the added fake fee. Not a deterrent then, just an ambush held back for DRA enrichment and/or to fund the 'gold rush' of court claims later.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I went to Dunelm to meet a friend from Shoreham, West Sussex. They had a new TPS sign up (changed in 2025 since the one i showed in 2024).
This is the new one:
A close-up of the small print:Tiny font that nobody reads: "additional charges may include the cost of debt recovery"
No it may not. Unspecified small print doesn't make a contract.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Co-oP, Worle, Somerset
The first photo is from a car length away, the second from about a metre.
Next door to the Co-oP, behind a small row of shops, a solicitor's office, and serving mainly a very busy medium sized hardware store. Again, the first image is taken from a car length away. I could only find three signs; one on the back of a shop that can only be seen on the way out of the car park, one on the side of the hardware shop only visible from a handful of spaces, and this one on the back fence that would not be seen if a motorist parked near the car park entrance.
Mention of additional charges is made in the small print in both car parks, but not quantified. The placement of the signs in the second set of images, and the tiny font in both locations is no deterrent.I married my cousin. Mecure Hotel, Northampton.
This location is right in the middle of Northampton and I saw a few people parking here to walk into the town centre.
This sign is one of many around the site, they're all situated above head height.
Despite the £8 for hotel guests, this doesn't seem to be charged. There are several terminals at the reception desk and in the lobby. I was attending a conference and there were QR codes printed out at the conference registration desk for a link to register directly.
No receipts were given out.
Interestingly, part of the car park is gated and reception will give you the code to open the exit gate on request.
Close-up of the small print. It refers to "additional costs" but there's no figure given.
Here's the entrance sign which is standard.
Just for fun I've added this which I found on the tree to the left of the mini in the previous picture.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'2 -
Horizon signs beside EV bays at Tesco from this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81499356/#Comment_81499356£70 is a sufficient deterrent.
Nothing about any added rip-off DRA 'fee'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A brand new RCP sign from this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81499084/#Comment_81499084Certainly takes more than 5 minutes to read all that.
Unreadable small print, nothing about fake fees that could possibly have any deterrent value.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Waitrose Brighton today:
You can just about read the £95 parking charge but there's only one sign in the entire surface car park, hidden behind the delivery vans.
Nothing about any DRA fee for any driver to read about in the whole car park.
No idea what the supposed 'full t&cs' sign near the store entrance says because we couldn't see it due to trolleys and people.
No contract then. No deterrent value.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
