Can the bricks be turned over, or do they only have one face?

I wouldn't be able to turn them over, and there are quite a lot of them.  No idea if the underside would be the same as the current surface.

No, the underside is very different.
If the rest doesn't work then I've just tried bleach on some of mine (long reason) and a cheap bristley washing up brush. Seems to have got rid of some algae so if it doesn't remove the blood it could make it invisible or a similar colour to the paving
Oh that's thick Tescos bleach. Seems they don't do the cheap thin stuff any more that was so useful.

It looks as if animals have been fighting on our block paving as there are patches and drops of blood all over it.  It can't have been people as the area is towards the back of the house and behind high gates.  I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to remove the stains.  I've tried hot, soapy water and a stiff broom which has helped but not removed it completely.
Blood on the patio? Alarm bells ring, cannot abet.
