    Payrol have, simply speaking, paid your wages to a non-existent account. It'll find it's way back to them eventually.

    In the meantime, you haven't been paid. Speaking to the bank won't change that - speaking to payroll might...

    Might be worth talking to your finance department & see if the payment has bounced back. We at least one rejection every month where employees have put the wrong details in, we have to wait for the payment to come back then pay to the right account.

    ok so you put in a valid sort code but invalid account number

    it should have bounced back to your payroll bank account but it might be worth calling Lloyds and asking them to check the Preston suspense account - chances are you all get nowhere with that request but it might be worth a try!
