it's actually the third thread by the OP on this topic, also asked this one:lika_86 said:You've asked very similar questions before https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6398651/is-a-60k-salary-in-london-ok-to-get-by/p1. I gave you a breakdown of a £60k salary in response to that thread, which you seemed to refuse to accept as being reasonable.
I maintain that £60k minimum would not be unreasonable for the lifestyle you mention.

not sure what the purpose is to open a new thread every 2 months on the same topic, life in London will not get cheaper by doing this6 -
£100k at least, given that one top of all the other bills there will be big costs that come up. At 80k you won't get any help from the government with them.Unfortunately I see few jobs offering that in London. Lots of jokers offering 60-70k for experienced engineers etc. I guess they are hoping they will get people who have a partner with an income too.0

The whole premiss of this thread is dodgy. Nobody lives by themselves in London. Mostly suits couple, or friends buying together, people having lodgers, etc.[Deleted User] said:£100k at least, given that one top of all the other bills there will be big costs that come up. £60-70k is a lot more than the average London salary (which is apparently £41k); plenty of people live in London on far less.[Deleted User] said:£100k at least, given that one top of all the other bills there will be big costs that come up. You mean plenty of couples scrape by with two incomes. The OP wants to know what they need to live comfortably on one income.Emmia said:

You find ways and means to do things with the budget you have got. That's how people live in London.1

This is true, and there are so many free things to do for residents.propertyhunter said:You find ways and means to do things with the budget you have got. That's how people live in London.1
