How Easy to Get a Refund from EoN (for Overpayment)?

Since I was on a fixed deal for about 18mths which ended in May, I was on SVT, and with the govt. energy support, I ended up with £500 in credit. (I've switched to their Next V4 Loyalty tariff yesterday with £64pm for dual fuel.) I've tried to gain a refund by emailing them; they replied and asked for the account no. which was in the subject title of the email, so I emailed them again with that, and then on another email asking for how much. I replied for the full amount, but I didn't hear back from them. Grrr!
Has anyone successfully applied for theirs and got it back within a reasonable amount of time?
TIA.

How often you are/were billed? (assuming) not smart meters, have you provided the supplier with up to date reading to generate a bill to determine if the full credit is refundable?

Very easy. I did regularly last couple of years via email. Refund took a couple of days to process.2

Same here. Have done it 3 times. First 2 were fine, very quick. The last one got missed by them, initially, but picked up later and sorted.
We were overpaying on purpose because of cashback on Santander 123How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -
Yes, but it took 10 days, which was the period they specified as an "up to".Sent the request for a partial refund (£200), of my account credit, by e-mail, with my account reference, how much I wanted as a refund and pictures of my gas and electricity meters showing their readings.I received a confirmation reply to that e-mail very quickly.1

Thanks, I'll chase it with more specific details re. my balance, the account no. (I am on a smart meter, so there wouldn't be a need to give readings.)

Hi,you say "I've switched to their Next V4 Loyalty tariff yesterday" (Friday), so probably haven't generated a final bill for old account yet, give it a few days.

I've had a reply back stating that they'll refund me within 10-14 days which I'm pleased to hear.
Does anyone know why EoN calcuates usage twice in the month? I've been noticing this in my monthly statements where there are two readings for the begining of the month, and again at the end of the month. It isn't consistent either as sometimes there's readings for a week or less. What's this all about?0 -
They bill you twice in the month when something like the cap changes even if it doesn't affect your prices.1
