Heat pump dryer - condensation problem

So finally managed to buy out first-ever dryer and we went for a Heat Pump dryer as they are more economical. Drying the clothes is ok.
However, the dryer seems to fill the laundry room with moist air and we are getting condensation everywhere in the room. The whole system is supposed to be sealed so that the water ends up in the collection tank.
Your thoughts and experiences with HEAT pump dryers, please.
I suspect the dryer is faulty.

Thanks

    Make and model of dryer?

I'm surprised any room surfaces are cold enough to condense moist air at this time of year, but it does indeed sound wrong.  Double check any filters and doors are properly closed off and not missing / damage to any rubber seals?

We have a heat pump dryer and get zero condensation, even during the winter. Yours shouldn't be doing that I am sure.

    Same here.
Heat pump dryer & absolutely no condensation at all & actually very very little heat coming out of the dryer vent.
Sounds like a faulty machine to me

    No condensation with ours either.

Some of them have a  removable pipe at the back to permit drainage rather than collecting water, is this secure?

Is the condenser unit (on the front, bottom left, behind a large flap on ours) cleaned regularly and correctly inserted?

Ours never caused condensation, even less so after it failed after 4 years.

Happy to see the back of it and went back to a condenser. Energy savings on the heat pump were marginal.

Our savings were in the region of 20% of our electric bill vs the previous simple condenser (physical work/exercise routines & limited space to air dry clothing in flat meant it was used several times a week for a big part of the year!)
