PIP awarded for an “ongoing period”, meaning?

I got my decision today, they awarded me enhanced daily living and it says for an “ongoing period”. What does this mean exactly?
This was a review after my original claim ended. My original claim was awarded at tribunal for 3 years.

Thanks!

That's great news
You will be in the "light touch" review in about 10 years (unless things change) and next form (if stays the same) will just basically be a tick boxes to say nothing has changed.
Did you get a letter explaining what the back payments covered? and what happened with the Mobility ?

I’m going to challenge the mobility because even thought she has been very fair on everything by what she wrote about mobility I think she misunderstood me hence the 0 points. I might as well write to explain. I hope they won’t touch the daily living. No explanation however the award is since 22 dec 22 so it has to be a back pay for daily living. And that’s good news on the light touch as my condition doesn’t change (autism) however it can get worse with time (increased anxiety).TOTAL DEBT JUNE 2019: £38,233.87 Aiming debt free mid 2023. I would challenge it too.
I agree with it being back pay for Care, seems they backed the care to the 23rd Dec, but Mobility stopped on the date of decision, which wouldn't have been the normal practice, so that caused some confusion.

It's very rare for someone to lose points at this stage. The most likely outcome will be the decision remains the same.

I think a downgrading of an award is rare (if it happens), I don't remember hearing of one, but there are others to have been around a lot longer than I have, so might have something to add.

Yes.... I think importantly they should be justifying the removal of that part of the award (I wonder if they tried to in the actual decision letter)... and I presume the line you have taken points to the fact there has been no improvement/change. I hope you also made some effort to support the decision in terms of Daily Living (my own view is people tend to come across as more credible when they show agreements with an adversary) as you wish to maintain that part of the award. Good luck... and as above don't expect much from the MR (an improved award at this stage consider a bonus) but an appeal tribunal is surely going to be interested to take a proper look at the inconsistency of awards and what actually should apply.

I did say that I agreed with the rest of the scores that all were fair and truthful including the second part of the mobility. And in the one that I disagree I explained why and how it didn’t make sense imo to go from lower rate to no rate when my condition had deteriorated. I explained that I think the nurse might have misunderstood me as she said I went out alone when it’s not the case and I provided examples of how I managed in 2018 (when I had lower rate) and now and how now meant that I never go alone anywhere at all.TOTAL DEBT JUNE 2019: £38,233.87 Aiming debt free mid 2023.
