Cameras are irrelevant to the case.

Read any Scotland parking charge thread. Did you put those words into the search box and tick 'NEWEST' instead of BEST MATCH'?
    Hundreds of cases like yours.

I am constantly surprised that drivers in Scotland don't know you can ignore these (this will change a bit next year).  Do some Scottish drivers just not get told this by elder family drivers and are wrongly taking parking firms seriously?

Things are changing though, as stated above.

All if this is covered in every Scotland thread we get.  Do search and read a few.
Your case isn't unique and no action is required unless you really get fed up and want to stop the laughable (quite entertainingly desperate) threatograms by complaining to the retailers about the harassment.

Keeper liability does not currently exist in Scotland. Only a driver can be held liable, and only if someone is daft enough to tell the PPC the driver's details.

In England and Wales, a day to day keeper, a registered keeper, or hirer can be held liable in certain circumstances as well as the driver.

Keeper/hirer liability will be introduced in Scotland in the near future thanks to your former Dear Leader who decided to import the laws of England and Wales into Scotland despite spouting off that she wanted independence. This means that someone who was not in the vehicle at the time of an alleged parking event can be held liable in certain circumstances.
Well explained! As mentioned above only slight doubt is that there was cameras, but should be fine I’d say. Cheers
So what? PPCs don't have a database of every person in the UK, so even if they had a perfect image of the driver they would have nothing with which to compare it and no way of knowing who it was or where they lived.

I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D
    All my screwdrivers are cordless.

Hi, I’m in a similar situation, live in Scotland but I have a lease car. The lease company is based in England and is listed as the registered owner and keeper of the car.

Does this change things in my scenario in terms of being able to ignore it? Thanks!

Yes it does. The lease company must transfer liability to you and then you must respond to the Notice to Hirer (just once) to ensure that the future letters to ignore come to you!
