Ryanair -flight cost increased whilst awaiting confirmation of payment

Can Ryanair do that?
I booked flights, luggage etc and got through all their sales pitch to final payment. I entered all my credit card details for the agreed price, and was just waiting on the confirmation when I was notified that an item in my basket was no longer available and to re-book from scratch! The item was the return flight which was now £15 more expensive. Surely once my payment was being processed they cant change the price???

I can't recall if Ryanair works this way but on many booking sites I've visited, there's a timer within which a transaction must be fully processed, so if that expired before payment had been completed then that would perhaps explain it?0

It's likely Ryanair does not do this, and its simply that someone else was buying the last seat in the same booking class the OP was also buying.eskbanker said:I can't recall if Ryanair works this way but on many booking sites I've visited, there's a timer within which a transaction must be fully processed, so if that expired before payment had been completed then that would perhaps explain it?
I'm sure their T&Cs will have them covered on this one.0 -
Had the same experience with easyJet once. Just bad luck that someone else beat you to the last available seat at that price.0
