If you could (presumably) visit there to sign up, and enough times to decide it's too busy, why can't you visit again to sort this out?

if you truly have no contract with the gym other than a one month notice then I would write by recorded delivery to the gym re-iterating your cancellation request from xxx date, and then cancel your direct debit or at least keep it cancelled

Ok so I went gym twice. Both times got told it was cancelled. The second time I showed up it was few days before monthly renewal and they wouldn’t let me in. I soon get manager email saying I owe £35 for outstanding fees

1.so I gave them notice within 14 days.
2.Emailed and phones several times and received no response
    3. Terminated membership within 26 days of a ‘monthly plan’ but wanted next months with no access

i feel this is a bit wrong as I communicated and explained my situation, I was told at gym that  you have to give 30 days notice to cancel so the 2nd month is unavoidable basically . even though that was done within 14 days cool off period.

anything I can do just as generally just unpleased as I paid second month because it seemed no way to really get anywhere arguing on the day.
