Onecom Vodafone weirdness
Hi there, I can see lots of threads about onecome and Vodafone but so far nothing like my query. I have been a vodafone customer for about 23 years, originally PAYG and more recently on cheap and cheerful some only deals. I recently noticed no payment had been taken, checked my direct debit, still active but when logging into my Vodafone account, no billing info. I got stuck in an eternal loop with Vodafone referring me to onecom who said I don't have an active account with them. I never actually signed up to onecom in the first place.. eventually I got through to someone via vodefones complaint process, they referred me to onecom who said oh yes you have a plan which costs zero pounds per month .. Is there anything else we can help you with?
I had to repeat a few times to the guy on the phone, you are basically saying my contract is free, is this correct? He eventually said oh I will speak to the billing team.
Whilst the idea of a free contract sounds wonderful, I don't and have never signed up to onecom, I do not trust that at some point I won't be liable for a huge bill, and consequently I would like to somehow get myself transferred back to Vodafone and back onto my £20 contract and carry on as before.
The billing team at onecom said vodefone had put me onto a free holding account and would transfer me back to my previous plan which was £20 pcm. They say that Vodafone might issue me a larger bill next time but if I raise a billing enquiry they will reduce to what it should be.
I have requested my PAC code from onecom in an attempt to transfer back to just vodefone..
