Broadband providers with 4G backup

Twice this week my broadband has gone down - only for a couple of minutes. However as i work from home it takes me 15 mins or so before i can re-login to the VPN and continue working.

What broadband providers are providing broadband with 4g  backup - where the router changes over to the 4G signal if the broadband goes down.

BT do, not sure about the other providers. But it wont provide you with a seamless connection, there will be a period of no service until the 4g kicks in. And your public IP address will change.
  • Having a look online there is a company called Unbreakablebroadband which might suit you.

Obviously the "unbreakable" claim is nonsense but it might be an option.

Vodafone's current VDSL router has a slot for a 4G modem, and I think it's an option when you sign up. (I didn't take the option.)
As others have said, it won't be a seamless transition and it's likely your VPN will still drop.
