Form PA15 Renunciation of executorship - who to send this form to?

It is really unclear to me who this form should be sent to. I know it says give it to the Executor who is applying for probate, but how can I ensure they carry out my wishes and what do they do with the form?
Also, the .gov.uk site says "tell HMCTS if you’re the sole executor or one of them". What does this mean and how do you do that?

thanks in advance for help

The executor needs to submit the PA15 with the probate application. Once you have renounced you are no longer an executor and don’t need to take further action.

As an executor your wishes are irrelevent.  The role of the executor is to follow the will or the intestacy laws if there is no will.
  • Ok thanks for responses so far. Now I want to know how to remove myself as beneficiary from the Will left by a relative. I really do not want to inherit anything. Does anyone have experience/advice to offer please?

    Two options.

    1. Ask the executors to arrange a deed of variation. That only requires the agreement of the beneficiaries who lose out as a result. Your share could then be redistributed amongst the other beneficiaries, or you could re-direct it where you wish; to another person or to a favourite cause.

    2. Accept the inheritance and gift it on. Doesn't depend on the executors co-operation.

You can make a deed of variation passing your inheritance on to any person or organisation you wish. So for example you could pass it to a relative or a favourite charity. It’s down to you to make the DoV not the executor. You should be able to find a template on line or ask a solicitor to draw one up.

Doing this will avoid your inheritance entering your estate for IHT purposes.
