Avis scratch issue

Hi..we booked a car to use in faro portugal.on returning the car there was a 'new' scratch was measured and pictured as under 45 mm. I was assured.. that it would reviewed fairly.and the car receiver said call customer services and it will be cancelled. So 10 min later a quote is sent.. the scratch is now miraculously over 200 mm long.. fast forward 2 days later and they have helped themselves to over £1300 from my bank account..
A complete disgrace .they obviously have no Intention of doing the work as there was a previously noted scratch on the car that is much bigger..we have pictures of the scratch and the previous bad scratch
What do I do..I have written to avis damages..no response of course..I have independent quotes..who are quoting £120..
I feel so ripped off..

Whether or not they actually plan to fix the damage is immaterial, and likewise your quotes are irrelevant.boomshake said:A complete disgrace .they obviously have no Intention of doing the work as there was a previously noted scratch on the car that is much bigger..we have pictures of the scratch and the previous bad scratch

The primary issue is what the Ts & Cs of your contract state regarding damages and excesses, so that's where you need to focus your attention.
If you're unable to resolve the matter with Avis then try https://www.ecrcs.com/0 -
How did they help themselves to money from your bank account? Did you use something other than a CC? If a CC, simply dispute the charges and present your evidence if necessary. Doesn't sound as if you took out an excess policy either.0
