Received PCN from TFL for stopping on red route "loading zone only" for 1.4 sec! (as per evidence)

Yes I realise that, but PPCs such as VCS try to enforce DRLs and no-stopping zones at airports as if they had statutory authority. They can't have it both ways. Either DRLs and No Stopping zones on private land have exactly the same meaning as on public roads, therefore laybys and places where there is a break in DRLs are exempt, or their "rules" don't apply and can't be enforced.ivanleo said:
That decision is very specific to statutory PCNs issue by public authorities so I'm not sure it will make any difference when it comes to PPC.Fruitcake said:
That's going to help for No Stopping cases from unregulated PPCs on airport Red Routes, thanks.
On the balance of probabilities, it is reasonable to assume that the man on the Clapham omnibus would assume that DRLs and no-stopping zone Ts and Cs at an airport would have the same meaning as if the were on a road where the road traffic act applies.
The CRA 2015 then comes in to play where the consumer's interpretation of contract terms takes precedent where Ts and Cs could have a different meaning.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I agree. There is some possible application to private land 'stopping' cases because of the way VCS mimic red routes.
Very useful to us in Airport cases where the car was not actually stopped 'on' DRL.
Thanks for posting that decision, @ivanleo
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
