CommunityFibre vs Hyperoptic

Options
Hello,

Both providers are available in my area, the doubt I have is how reliable is Community Fibre.

Furthermore few days ago I just browsed on Community Fibre website to check availability, earlier booking appointment available etc. and after 1 minute I received a first call (made the mistake to add all my info in the process). I said I was just browsing and was going to talk to my partner before to commit on anything, and that I would go through the website. Then another call same day and same number in the afternoon during a meeting (rejected and blocked the number), then other two calls from them the day after... I felt harassed and I feel like I should not award their pushing behaviour signing a contract with them.

What is your experience with both providers? Which one would you choose and more honest and with better reputation? (For obvious reasons I don't trust reviews on Google or Trustpilot made by users which left 1-3 reviews only)

Thank You in advance.
Fabio

    We have the choice of:
    1) Hyperoptic offering up to 1Gb/s
    2) ADSL over copper  to the exchange up to 2Mb/s

Needless to say which we go with!

Hyperoptic always offer deep discounts if you are willing to commit to them, often there are bigger discounts available than they public state if you lock in for 2 years rather than 1 they advertise openly.

We normally have a good connection, running a speed test on the router yesterday it was 958Mb/s down and 971Mb/s up. Have had two unplanned outages in 8 years but one of those did last 2 days. There has been one planned outage for upgrading the kit in the building and was a little annoyed that they decided to do it in the middle of a weekday but they did give reasonable notice.

I dont use their router so no comment on that. Given you've either a hyperoptic ethernet port or cable in the unit getting up and running takes minutes
  • Thanks for the feedback. They sound very reliable. I have Nest Wifi so using the Google mesh system, I would use the router just as a modem connecting my Nest Wifi router to it.
I will try to leverage their price match offer, as Community fibre is half the price for a 1Gbps plan.

    Thanks
    Fabio
