Yesterday I walked to the Indian supermarket for the first time this year as I needed 100g of parsley and coriander leaves and they sell enormous bunches for 99p each, I also bought a bunch of dill and a packet of frozen spring roll wrappers which came to £6.06. Then I bought spring onions, YS tarragon, feta, onions, radishes and dried turtle beans in M*rks which came to £7.56. This morning the rain came down and I ducked into M*rks for shelter and bought a bag for life, YS strawberries, YS white flesh peaches, yoghurt, corn on the cob, a baguette and 2x radishes for a total of £11.53.
I can see that my downfall is spotting items that are unusual like the turtle beans or "bargains" like the YS fruit so am resolved to be firmer with myself (this must be the umpty billionth time I have typed this phrase, one day it will be true!)
My new total is now £67.40/£124 which is an average daily spend of £5.18.8 -
Did the weekly shop today - managed to keep to the list. It came to £26.97, which brings me to £77.75/£90, leaving £12.25 until the budget resets on 28 Aug.6

Morning folks. Just one spend to declare, surprisingly. After brunch on Saturday I stopped at M & S for garlic, a bag of onions, YS mushrooms, milk, shredded mozzarella, and a boule to have with our soup later on for dinner. That came to £8.80. We're looking pretty good food wise and I'll take a walk to Tesco tomorrow to get more eggs and yoghurt. I might stretch myself a bit further and walk to the Aldi to look what they have for roasts and to pick up more cooking bacon because I just ate the last of it. I'd like to stave off getting another grocery order if I can.
£194.36 / £400.00 spent. £205.64 remaining

Home from holidays on Wednesday, and have done a big shop and a smaller one. Presses were pretty bare when we got home, but I'm trying to just get things to add to what we have as it's that time of year and I want to make sure nothing's been lingering at the back for too long.
€244.03/600 spent. Need to get bread, veg, compost bags and some kid snacks tomorrow though, and have to order dog food (different budget).
Dough rising for pizza tonight, and I'll use up some odds and sods for toppings.
Pasta bolognaise tomorrow, with sauce from the freezer. Chicken enchiladas on Wednesday, which I've all the bits in for as well.

Done a small grocery shop today and ordered a TGTG bag to pick up from Morrisons later. Depending on what's in the bag I may need to buy some more fruit but hoping that there will be some in the bag - there usually is! Total spend to date £70.70 - £169.26 left for rest of the month.
Although the GC spend is fairly low the Bulk Fund has taken a big hit including nearly £50 today on meat. Managed to pick up a 4.5kg box of chicken thighs for £18 and that has been portioned up and frozen and there's enough for at least 9 meals for 2 of us but depending on what I make it could be that some bags will feed us for 2 meals - things like curry or stew for example so very good value.6 -
