Should I swap this stamp?

I know I'm late to the party but I found some 'English oak' stamps (value £1.42 each) in a drawer and I'm unsure whether these should be swapped. I have read Royal Mail's instructions and I find them confusing. Do you know if these stamps are classed as 'pictorial' or 'everyday stamps'? The value looks random but was in fact the exact amount needed to send a letter to Europe.

Thanks in advance!

The only stamps that are now no longer valid are the 'boring' ones, with just the Queen's head. All the ones with pictures are still good to use however you wish.

Im not sure the above is correct ?
I suspect that country or regional stamps as the above English Oak stamp is.... will not be valid after 07/2023.
The actual stamp can be seen here

TC is correct - that's a country definitive.  So it can be used until the end of the month but better off swapping and getting some barcoded 2nd Class in return.

Use the link on the RM page to ask for a Swap Out Form to be sent to you - then you get the pre-paid envelope as well.  Scan or photograph the completed form just in case.  Take the envelope to the PO and get a (free) Certificate of Posting.
I need to think of something new here...

Im going to send some stamps in for exchange as wont use them all up unfortunately  in the next weeks .
So thanks for the update on the form and pre paid envelope I will pick one up at the PO or get one sent .
The plan is to stick the stamps on this swapout form with a glue stick..... and hope for the best ?
    Which isnt really correct .
This may fail then again it may not so will have to see .

Surely that is why RM have introduced the barcode stamps to stop people reusing the stamps using a glue stick.
Yours is not really a money saving idea.

Well I’ve just been through the swap process and feel like I’ve been robbed by Royal Mail. I sent off about £190 worth of stamps and have received around £30 worth back. I’m out of pocket by over £150. Royal Mail say the stamps concerned are invalid as they don’t have a security feature of valid stamps. They have checked now three times and my Appeal has been rejected. All the stamps were bought from Royal Mail (my local Post Office) and are still in their original books…
have I been robbed by Royal Mail ? Any suggestions on next steps please?

Suprised with RMs history of wrongful prosecution they don't want to throw you in Jail

Royal Mail hasn’t wrongfully prosecuted anyone (that we know of)…

The Post Office might have but they aren’t Royal Mail.

If they were purchased at your Post office, then they will have been purchased from Post Office Counters Ltd. They will not have been purchased from Royal Mail.
