Can I carry Stethoscope in a flight?

I bought a Littmann Classic III Monitoring Stethoscope for a friend as a present and planned travel via mainland Europe to Asia. Confused now how to carry this item?  should I carry it in by check-in luggage or should i carry it in my cabin luggage..? Please help. thanks

Hand luggage if you want to be certain it’ll arrive at the same destination at the same time as you do

I agree,, anything you want to be sure about keeping needs to be in hand luggage.

Wondering if you saw something in the flightt details that made you think this would be a problem?

You will have no issues with it in hand luggage. Many medical staff travel with them in carry on luggage all over the world.

I was preferring to carry it in check-in luggage as hand luggage is already full. I wasn't too much worried about loosing (hopefully I will be that unfortunate soul!) it but more worried if I have to throw it away in airport while doing security check...I I am worried if its not allowed to carry in hand luggage but logically it should as many doctors fly  with their equipments like stethoscope...

This is what travel insurance is for.

Am interested in how much you paid for the Littman btw. Did you get a good deal?
