Confused about PIP payment after review

Hi! I was receiving PIP (lower rate for both daily living and mobility) since November of 2019. I was due for review in November 2022 but it kept being pushed forward as many of you know due to covid etc so I was still getting the same amount pass my review date. I finally had my review paperwork completed and sent in in January 2023 and I had a phone consultation with a nurse in June 2023. Next day I got an sms saying the dwp had the report and they would inform me in due time of their decision.
My expectation is that my benefits will be stopped. In 2019 I was awarded £0 on first consultation, £0 on mandatory reconsideration and then I was awarded the lower rate in tribunal so I expect they will go down that route again this time even though my situation has deteriorated a lot since then specially in the daily living, I don’t trust them being fair as I have heard horror stories.
I haven’t heard anything yet and last Tuesday I got my normal £380 payment, and last month the £150 living expenses help. However yesterday I got a deposit of £913.61 from DWP PIP and I wonder if this is any extra payments that they are doing for any reason of whether this means that my award that been granted and increased and I am being paid retroactively?
if this is the case, to what date do they pay you back to? My original review date was 19th November but didn’t happen as I said. I sent my form in on the 11th January and I had my phone review on the 30th of June. If this is a back pay what is my probable outcome? Higher living + lower mobility or…?
thanks a lot

It does sound like backpayment for an increased award, they can often turn up before you get a letter about the increase because the post is slower than omputers.Expect a letter in a few days.Once you know what the change is you can then work out just what date they have backpaid to. (Or we can do it for you, it may be complicated a bit by the rate changes in April).1

Thank you. I thought normal expected reviews didn’t get back pay. I’m not complaining though just surprisedTOTAL DEBT JUNE 2019: £38,233.87 Aiming debt free mid 2023. All bad debt written off / paid by January 2023. No missed payments in 2023. Only one active credit card to pay off! I DID IT 🎉0

I'm taking the date they used is the date they sent you the forms not the day you returned them.
So from then it would be about 27 weeks, if you divide £913.61 by 27 it's approx £33 per week.
That would mean you have been awarded High rate Care Low rate Mobility as the difference between low rare care and high rate care is currently £33.65. So with the increase rates in April works out about right.
EDIT
The different between Mobility rates are about £44 and can't see that working with the £913 you got paid.

A revised award following a renewal assessment comes into effect from the date of the decision.
So if example, an award was ended - the claimant would be paid until the date of the new decision (PIP payments already paid to the claimant would not be recovered by the DWP from the date when the renewal PIP form was completed).
The OP may wish to contact PIP to get more info about her new, award and the reason for the £913 payment.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -

Usually this would be correct, with a review started by DWP. However, due to the length of the backlogs and the time it's taking for a decision for many people if there's a higher award they have been awarding it from an earlier date. (for some people) Seems like this is what's happened here. I've heard of many many people receiving some backdated money because of the delays with review decisions.

I think it might be the case that they decided to back pay me even though it is a “normal” review as my normal review should have happened in nov 22 and the issue that caused my needs to increase was diagnosed in dec22 so my increase needs came after, which would call for a change in circumstances (maybe?)TOTAL DEBT JUNE 2019: £38,233.87 Aiming debt free mid 2023.
