hi all
i opened a first save fixed term account, received the letter today with my user id and ive just attempted to log in.
problem is the site is saying my details are incorrect....i know the password is right as i took a screenshot of it when i first created the account.
i then tried the forgotten password link...but its saying it dosent recognise any of those details either?
any one else had issues with them? im a bit annoyed as i cant contact them till monday now and ive already transferred a substantial amount of my savings into the account

I've had the same thing.  Got my letter - nothing other than authentication code.  Tried to call them yesterday - on hold for nearly 40 minutes then a message saying their hours were 9 to 5 (this was now 5) so try another time.  Tried this morning - on hold.  I have wrotten to them using the website - it could be a cold day in hell when my phone rings

Wouldn’t it be easier to open an account with someone else?

I am currently going through the same thing so would love to hear from more people who manage to get through to them, just to be reassured that my money hasn't disappeared into thin air. I would've just left it and opened with someone else but unfortunately have already transferred funds to them so will have to stick it out!

I am an existing customer of First Save and have been able to log on OK this morning with no issues. Maybe the problem relates specifically to new accounts?

as per my other post, all sorted now. seems the issue was the welcome packs were sent out after the authorisation codes. first save were very apologetic and confirmed all funds were in proper place.

It's now 24 hours since I tried to get hold of them (email, voicemail, webmail all leaving my direct number) - nothing.  It is sorted - I have opened an account with a proper bank

I'm having problems with FirstSave myself. I applied for a 1 year fixed bond with them Monday, transferred same day via CHAPs, sent ID docs the next day and then my nominated bank informed me they had returned the transfer. Checked the details and it's exactly as outlined in my confirmation email. Now I also can't get through to them (unanswered email and impossible to get through via the phone). In my  case my account appears not opened yet and my pledged amount was returned. Are there any ramifications for just sacking them off and sending my money somewhere else? I would have done it by now but I am unsure if it can affect credit rating or break the terms of the application, which frankly I feel like they've done anyway by rejecting my payment.
