Spring parking PCN

Received a PCN in the post from Spring Parking (Bradgate Park's car park). Is it worth contesting or should I just pay it ? It arrived in the post well after the date the letter was posted, which is convenient for them I guess.

Sorry, have a lot on at the moment. Parked up at 8.30pm one evening, forgot to buy a ticket from one of the pay and display machines.
Its a countryside park so not retail/shopping centre car park etc.0 -

It's a countryside park so not retail/shopping centre car park etc. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Sounds like you should just appeal it as keeper, BUT try Plan A first.
Basically, do what the NEWBIES thread tells you to do as Plan A then Plan B.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The landowner won't do anything. I'm just re-reading the pcn... it doesn't state how long the vehicle was parked there for.
It states the reason the pcn was issued as 'not displaying a valid pay and display ticket.'
There are two photos of the vehicle (windscreen and in front)
There are no ANPR Cameras on site.
The car park and all signage is unlit and the time of the alleged incident is at dusk.
If the vehicle was only there for a couple of minutes a grace period would apply (?) and as there are no ANPR Cameras on site the PPC would not be able to prove how long the vehicle was there for.
A ticket wouldn't have been required to have been purchased.
Isn't that a slam dunk on its own if needed to appeal to popla?
Should I execute plan B then as is written in the newbies thread, or is it worth additionally including the aforementioned in the email to them?

Change the template appeal to suit.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is this wording ok after the template wording;
As per the British Parking Association Code of Practice, a compulsory 5 minute cooling off period is stipulated in which a motorist can consider the terms and conditions and change their mind about parking.
Your evidence must include the duration of the alleged contravention.

It's not a cooling off period. You need to read the BPA CoP and quote the relevant paragraph with which you believe the operator has failed to comply. It may be called a consideration period or grace period.
Is the NTK PoFA compliant? If not, that should be mentioned as well.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1 -

Appears it is not PoFA compliant as there is nothing about PoFA 2012 on the back of it.
The letter also starts along lines of (not exact wording) "We have issued a PCN to your vehicle because it was parked in a manner whereby the driver became liable for a pcn."
edit forget that there is mention of the PoFA on the front of it.0 -
btw spoke to the landowner again today and was told it's strange for the parking operator to send out postal PCNs as she said they always attach windscreen pcns, so why they didn't this time I don't know.0
