How do you know it's still stored? If I try to log in to my closed account I see this, in red text."Your iD plan ended more than 6 months ago, so your online account has now been closed. If you need help, please contact us."Whether this will be the same for you, I have just gone through, without completing, a s.i.m. only order. I used the same e-mail that was registered in my old account and it all went through to the point of payment - I didn't.Have you tried and used the e-mail that was used up to 2019?

I think it might be the way you described it (if you did it the same way you did here) Saying they've stored your address isn't clear and could mean for example, that they have your address stored for marketing.
Instead, try telling them you are getting an error message because your email was previously associated with another account you had back in 2019. So they need to remove the email from that old account or delete the old account entirely as it's no longer needed.0 -
The email address is not stored on any marketing database, it’s their username for their old online account. It cannot be removed (or maybe I should say they won’t remove it?). This has been asked many times over on the iD Community and it’s been the same response for years now.
If you need to register a for a new online account you will have to use a different email address.0 -
I was going to say, log in, but you say it won't allow you, so I'm not applicable.
So this advice is for others before the fact. When thinking closing an account like this, change the email first to a throw away email like stuff_yer_business_it_sucks@disgruntled.com, then if the business clings onto the email, as it's the throwaway one, not your favourite email such as snoopy_is_the_best@cartoons.com you can re-use your treasured email again and again.0 -
oh and if your email account allows aliases, use them for signups.0
