Yes, based on the tariff information sent to them by your supplier.

I wouldn't say it's abnormal. £3.01 will buy you eg. about 4kWh of electricity, 10kWh of gas and a day's standing charges.

Your supplier should update the tariff info in your smart meter every time there's a change in tariff. For those on the SVT, that's every three months.

The supplier should update the meter, but the  IHD is not automatically by them, it gets its rates from the meter, and mine doesn’t yet

you'll need to go into settings/menu, to check rates, could take a while before new rates are updated, just keep checking.

The IHD is just a display. It gets its tariff information from the electricity and gas meters. Updated tariff information is sent by the supplier to each of the meters.
