I use adblock+ and there is an option to block element so I have blocked them completely. It is easy enough to get to other parts of the forum by using quick links. Doing this has made it so much easier and I no longer have them filling up my browser when going to my next thread.

It's driving me crazy. Between trying to avoid the drop downs to how far away the ticks and crosses are, it's actually given me a headache today. It's really going to take some getting used to.

Pain for me too.  I shouldn't think anything will be done though.  They didnt do anything with niggles after the last update.  Fingers crossed though

I tend to view the comps forum by sorting by 'New' and 'All Statuses' and I've just noticed that this thread doesn't come up, it only does so if I sort by 'Hot' and 'All Statuses'. I've no idea if there are any other threads that the same is true of.

I had that sort of issue and seemed to be 'NEW' sorted by date of original post and therefore didn't bring  older posts with newer comments back to the top

"New" sorts the forum by thread start date not post date. That thread was started on 1st July, so when sorted by "New" you would need to page back to the 1st July to find it. I just looked and found it there.
If you want the board sorted by latest post date, you need to use the "Hot" option.

When sorting, "New" should be interpreted as "When they were New" ie. by when they were originally posted. Sort by "New" and the missing letters comp currently appears on page 45 with all the other comps posted originally on 1st July. 

The sorting options are:
New - by date first posted
Hot - by date of latest post
Top - by popularity (using some algorithm heavily based on number of Comp-liments)
