I've recently moved 2 numbers from Plusnet to Lebara. Someone said when they rang my partners phone it just kept ringing and never went to voicemail, I checked and it was the same on my phone. Although voicemail should activate automatically \i had to do it manually by ringing 1211 then 1.
People on Lebara might want to check if their voicemail needs activating

This is very timely for me. No instructions anywhere to do this! So thank you.
I've moved from Vodafone to Lebara. When I call 1211 it says 'Welcome to Vodafone...' - is that correct?
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

When i first rang 1211 it said  "welcome to Vodafone , to activate voicemail press 1." If I ring now it says " you have now
RE -activated your voicemail " repeatedly. Hope that helps
It said on the website that voicemail should automatically be activated, however mine and my partners needed doing manually

Yes, had to do mine manually as well. Never had to do that before.

At least you opened a thread which is how I found this solution on Google - hopefully it helps others too!  <3

  • Hi,

Also found we had to activate our VoiceMail as well.

However another problem, in that the default Ring Time before passing the call to Voicemail is too quick for us oldies, about 10 or 15 seconds before it goes to Voicemail.

Found Lebaras page on how to increase the Ring Time to 25 or 30 seconds (max) which it accepts and when a call comes in our Moto G9 Play rings for 30 seconds, but instead of going to voicemail it just cuts the call off as a Missed Call.

Cannot see any matching settings that need  to be changed on our phone.

Anyone have the same problem ?

You've used instructions from the Swiss Lebara site, which will be trying to forward your call to Swiss Voicemail.  Naturally that won't work.
