Massively over-bought postage stamps

I seem to have massively over-bought postage stamps over the years. With the new barcoded stamps coming in, I collected up all the old stamps from all over the house. They had been squirrelled away in all sorts of places!
I have just received back from RM hundreds of the new barcoded stamps - mostly 1st and 2nd class - vastly more than I can use in my lifetime, especially as I now hardly ever send letters through the post. I would like to exchange some of them for money if possible, or failing that are there charities that would use them?
Any help gratefully received.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Plenty of people sell them on eBay.1

Some of the listings look decidedly iffy. I don’t really see how genuine stamps can be sold for 20% of face value?Dazed_and_C0nfused said:Plenty of people sell them on eBay.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I sold some of mine on FBmarketplace- cash on collection only. Reduced value, obviously.
I also have a bit of a sideline going with parent’s friends who tend to use stamps more. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
How much reduction in the value, out of interest?elsien said:I sold some of mine on FBmarketplace- cash on collection only. Reduced value, obviously.

Some of the ones on eBay are being shipped from China, and sold at 20% of value, so I assume they are either completely fraudulent or they are genuine but have been used and then removed from the packaging. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
If I remember rightly I put 3/4 of face value then accepted a lower offer. May have been a bit less - I based it on the not stupidly low eBay prices.
I did about £40 at a time because when I put £100+ up people did start to question if they were fakes or not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I’ve never used them before but this company advertise regularly in philatelic magazines etc and currently seem to offer to buy barcodes stamps at between 60-65% of face value.

If you don't need the money I'm sure a charity would be grateful of them1

Do bear in mind you can use stamps to send parcels too - not just letters. You can part pay with stamps and then make up the difference if you go to a post office.GDB2222 said:I seem to have massively over-bought postage stamps over the years.
