Some advice here for First Direct experts please!
I have recently &applied for First Direct First Account and it was instantly approved🆒
I am now considering whether to apply for the Gold Credit Card via app. However when I went to the products section on app & selected Purchase Gold CC, the next page on screen appeared with a question: What credit limit you find useful?
Below it is a circle where you can move to increase the amount up to £20k.
In my case it is showing £500 but that's the minimum credit limit anyway but I can increase it to the max of £20K full circle if I wanted to.
But what really get me is this statement saying: Your credit limit will be based our assessment of your individual circumstances but won't be higher than this amount.
Does that mean I'm eligible for a £500 credit limit but no more than that? I don't want a wasted hard credit search if I wanted a higher amount and it is then declined/offered just £500 CL bearing in mind I have been successful getting a clarity CC with a CL of 2K two weeks ago.
It is not yet showing on credit file so time is of essence as I like to have another spare one before it appears on credit files.
Thanks

They are saying the minimum limit will be 500 but they will consider up to the amount you ask for subject to their assessment of your credit worthiness.2

How do you know this?
So lenders will see new accounts (if it’s approved) 24hrs after the application search?
That’s interesting, as I thought the new accounts is not added until the next month cycle when it update monthly.0
