    Mine is a small independent vet, not a chain. The charges are a comparatively recent thing to cover the time and admin.

    Another for Petplan.

    Have made made claims over many years and many pets.  Most recent was a cracked tooth two weeks ago, resulting in two carnassial extractions. Had a scale and polish at the same time as the extraction and was fully expecting to pay for that part myself, but Petplan covered the whole bill (£800 - excess).   Dental work covered as long as any work recommended during annual health check is done within 3 months.
