If you want to have a working lock but preserve its appearance you need to remove the spindle and take the lock out of the door.
There will be numbers and letters stamped on the lock case. These tell the model number, not the individual key code.
Go to a supplier such as Lockmonster.

You will be able to buy a new set of levers and matching keys for your model number. Open up the lock, take out the stack of levers and replace with the new ones. This is quite easy to do but there are YouTube videos to guide you.1
