PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Does anybody know what this letter means?

The claimant is being allowed to amend their claim and it must be served on the defendant by 4pm on Sunday.
    What does that mean sorry?
It would be better if your friend could post on this forum directly.  The best way for you to help her is likely to be to direct her to where she can get advice direct.
The "friend" is clearly in deep trouble, with her landlord, the links to other threads show a very limited grasp of anything to do with finances, and the "friend" needs to follow the advice given and get professional help ASAP, AND IMO start looking for a cheaper place to live when eviction goes ahead, as it almost certainly will.

I don't see how it can be explained any simpler. And just re-affirms that you are not the best person to advise you fried. Get her to seek professional help.
Exactly if someone can't understand that then there is no helping them

That's a meaningless question, as none of us have seen the landlord's application of 22 June. If you want to help your friend, why haven't you posted that?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It means that the person who made the court claim is being allowed to change some aspect of that claim, maybe to increase the sum claimed (who knows?) and that the details of this must be in the hands of the person from whom the money is being claimed, by 4pm on Sunday.

In practice, if they haven't received it yet, it may need to be hand-delivered.

I assume it has already been received, as the friend has come round to the OP with it (and others have concluded that the OP's friend is the respondent, not the claimant in this case).

And the last bit of the text you can see, says that if the recipient (your friend) wants to sary or have the amendment cancelled (set aside) then they have to do so to the court, in writing, within 7 days of receiving the document.

As everybody else has said, this is time for proper advice. First thing next week.
