What free social networking sites did you use back in the day?

In education, if you were applying for a new job, friendsreunited could tell you loads about what a school was like.
Don't really know what the modern equivalent of that would be now.

People actually have open facebook accounts and post things like "I've got an interview with XXX next week. Hate the company, don't really want the job, but it will do while I find a decent one." Easier than the back-in-the-day method of speaking to former employers!
