SSE
I moved into my property in December 2022. I have only just got a bill for my electricity despite several phone calls etc over the months.
The customer service from SSE has been the worst I have ever experienced. I really want to move supplier, but everywhere I look, people are saying its the wrong time to move supplier. What's the general consensus here?

It's the wrong time to move supplier if you're expecting it to make energy cheaper (apart from E7 maybe).
It is still completely worth moving for customer service reasons, better apps, better billing type, or any other reason.0 -

I was "sold" to OVO by SSE last October - did think everyone would have been moved over by now. After no hitches in the past 17 years with SSE, OVO were immediately rubbish so I got out of there asap and migrated to EDF. Just had one minor glitch, which was quickly sorted by EDFcustomer service. Just so you know you have a choice, but Octopus do come well recommended. I went to EDF as a close friend was happy there. They bill me on my monthly readings (I am not yet on a smart meter) and I pay whole bill DD.1

Good Morning all, thanks for all your input.
I tried to switch to Octopus, but they had the wrong meter reference registered at my address (another SSE !!!!!! up - they installed my smart meter in march). I tried to contact them, but they never got back to me.
Some new switching tariffs came out today. I tried SO Energy initially. Couldn't online switch with them, so called and their systems were down.
So, I have just completed an online switch to British Gas. Was seamless and easy. Fingers crossed it stays that way. They wanted the meter reference from my bill, which was easy to provide.
Thanks again.0
